On the Set of Music Video: AMEN - Artist Tom Grennan

After a Summer in lock down where my creative flow had been paused, The longing for a project that was going t0 scratch the itch of wanting to be back in hub of Fashion Music and Glam soon came in the form of a Music Video for my favourite music artist Tom Grennan. Who for over 3 years has trusted me with his grooming and creating his signature locks that have become part of his identity.

I had missed working but had especially missed the TG family who we so aptly call ourselves: Team TG. It was not only good to be back but this was going to be one to remember.

Music Videos are always the piece of my work that I look back on and am instantly proud to have been on such incredible journeys.

The Amen Video saw a 15 strong crew take 2 days of EPIC filming though vast woodland and to Wind turbines at the Top of chalk quarry's with eye watering sunsets to make this 3 minute song into a Mini Movie.

The Glam squad consisted of on point styling from Danielle Whiteman and of course Grooming from yours truly.

Toms look was to have a softer with a more looser feel to his hair for this video as opposed to being as structured as we have seen in previous shoots.

Using my session go to products from @fudgeprofessional. Toms hair was saturated with the Curl Revolution mist and maniputed into softer curls while left to air dry.

From scenes with his on screen love interest to doing shots with his boys in a bar, his look is what I describe as effortlessly cool.

Look created using: Curl Revolution Mist By Fudge Professional.

As the scene flips into a night shot to Toms encounter of a Fight Club-esque situation his looks switches up to meet the authenticity of the role. Despite his hair looking Wet and rugged, this has maticulously been achieved by purposefully wetting his whole hair down using Salt Spray from Fudge Professional again to help maintain a definate curl and texture to the hair despite it being wet through. This is because the salt in this product helps promote the texture giving it staying power throughout the several takes of all the boys brawling under a 50ft concrete bridge. I love this product and use it a lot on sets but it was especially perfect for this scene, Bruises were created on Tom's knuckles using a blend from the Kryolan paint palette and literally rubbing Toms hand into the dry dusty earth for the authenticity the scene asked for. Sometimes only the genuine thing will do!

( We were under a concrete bridge on desserted waste land after all!)

As per usual it was another incredible experiernce as part of Team TG and I can honestly say that this was one I will well and truly never forget.

Amen.
